Hi all. As my body returned to work this week, my mind is stuck reliving that special evening. I was not able to check out the board yesterday and spent the last hour catching up. WOW.... This is the best. A chat room filled with the best people in the world, hundreds of people that knew each other during that critical age of 13 to 17. We really know each other in ways that nobody else ever will. We messed up at our best and lived many of our first experiences. To quote one of our best, Joe Picile ¿To know where you are going, you must know from where you come.¿ True words from the heart. I know have a 13 and 15 yr old myself. They are now building the ¿where they will come from¿. Think about it¿ I tried to explain to my colleagues the emotions that filled the hall on Saturday night, but it was beyond any words ever spoken. What a Buzzzzzz. (4 days now and I don¿t want to come down). You are all very welcome for the Pics. If you would like me to add yours my web album, you could send them to me at dominic.amato@gmail.com. (Thank you Benny). The committee has worked very hard in making this a reality for all of us and I know that they are planning to create a CD scrap book of the evening so please send them to tony@unikgifts.com at the same time. You could view the pics you send me at http://pages.videotron.com/amato . LUV U ALL Dom

Hi everyone How can one describe the feeling - as I entered the reception hall my stomach was in knots, I felt like a teenager again - so much excitement and so much emotion!! I could not believe that I was going to see so many old friends in one room. The experience was amazing. I will be forever grateful to the Committee for having planned an exceptional party. Thank you so much. I was very ill a couple of years ago and I can truly say that this event was truly one of the happiest moments I have had in recent years and I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart. I would not hesitate to get together again and relive the experience. I have rekindled some amazing friendships and hope to have made a few new ones. Until we meet again..... Lisa

Hello All: I have spent the last couple of days reading all your postings and it is great. I attended saturday night and was truly happy for all of you. I was especially happy for Joe since I know he was on cloud 9 and having a great time. Your committee has to be commended for their fantastic work. I would like to thank all of you who I had the pleasure to meet for being so kind, warm and welcoming. I must say that I really had the best seat in the house. You see, being an outsider (of sorts) I walked around and surveyed all of you re-connecting and having the time of your lives. It was heartwarming really and I was very touched. I hope that you will all take this fantastic experience and roll with it. In closing, I have to say as Joe did in his speach. To know where you are going, you must know from where you come. Having been married to Joe for 19 years now, I can honestly say that with friends like his, I am the lucky one to be a part of his life and share in his past present and futur. I salut all of you and wish you health, happiness and love. Hope to see you guys again some day. Maral Torossian Pecile

Hello to all, It was a stupendous night. Thanks to Micheline, Sabatino, Frank, Tony, Lucy, Joey and Claire to have made this night possible. I have an ex-colleague that works for Club Med. She is responsible for organizing group trips. How does Club Med sound for our next reunion? We can certainly explore different options, send out a survey to out friends and then take a decision. Lisa, Patty, Micheline T, Micheline T, Bev, Pina I, Franca P, Mary F, Josie C, Eleonora F, and others are planning to meet again for a Friday night supper in the month of April or May. If any of you would like to join us, please email me. The more the merrier. We will celebrate the coming spring and our renewed friendships.

I have been forgetting one of the most important things that I have wanted to post since Sunday: to the spouses and partners - THANK YOU. Thank you for supporting those six very special people who took on this monumental task. Thank you for supporting those who attended - even though you may not have chosen to accompany them that evening. And a thank you to those brave spouses and partners who accompanied a 79 graduate that evening. No support, no success and thanks to you, whether you were there or not, you gave us your support and because of that we had a major success.

Hmmm.... cruising..... not a bad idea. I know someone (an ex-co-worker) who owns a cruise ship. He came to work the other day and left us a business card. I'll try to get my hands on it and put the info on the BB as soon as I get it. (Now,I just have to start putting money away.. not an easy task.. but so worth it, for a cause like this!)

I Love Lucy by Carmy ZollaTuesday, 2/22/05, 8:56 PM

Three days later and the aftershocks continue to reverberate. The reunion party did not end at 3 a.m. Sunday. Not only did I get a surprise email from Domenic Gambacorta (who btw is doing great in Italy, has a daughter Giorgia and wished he could have been here), but I had lunch with a childhood friend. We used to play "Queenie Queenie who has the ball" in the back lane, getting in trouble for landing the ball in everyone's tomato gardens. In high school we shared ups and downs, listening to Peter Frampton riffs (Do you feel like I do?). She moved away after that and I never saw her again. Until Saturday night. Who is she? A very determined, self-confident and funny person, whose drive led the organizing committee to put on one of the best parties in town. She's also very caring and sensitive, feeling the same feelings we have all been expressing, but so overwhelmed with emotion that she can't bring herself to post without breaking down. So, I am writing on her behalf tonight to tell you that she thanks you all for giving her one of the most amazing experiences of her life and for being there on Saturday. The exuberance and smiles she saw that night, the chance to reconnect, made the months of hard work all worthwhile. From Lucy Lemme to all of you... a great big thank you. P.S. Don't worry... this is just the beginning...she's coming up with a plan for the next one! CZ

Hi everyone....I could only imagine what the night must have been like. I really wanted to be there (even though I would not be remembered...LOL)but I am in the military and was flying back from Elemedorf AFB, Alaska and only arrived in Trenton on Saturday at 7:00 at night. I drove to Montreal the same night and arrived at 10:00. I knew I would not make the evening but I made the school visit, which itself was great....(Hey Joe P) I just hope that there will be an other opportunity (Even in a Brasserie)to see you all. Was wondering if I can email a picture of myself at 24,000 flying a C-130 Hercules with a "PIUS X 1979 GRAD" SIGN for the web page....LOL Hope to see you all real soon....and would love to hear from you all Joseph

Lucy, Tony, Joe, Frank, Micheline and Sabatino BRAVO! A great turnout and a great party. There is something about high school that stays with you for your whole life and you guys were able to create an atmosphere that let us relive those days for an evening. Thank you again, P.S. I hear you have all been re-elected to do it again. Happy to hear that. Dominic, great idea about Ofoto. Very easy and convenient for everyone to use. See you next time, To the rest of the photographers please forward pictures, would love see them.

Made it - barely! Stuck on the tarmac for over an hour waiting for the aircraft to get de-iced. I hear the snow kept coming down long after I left yesterday. SO GLAD TO BE BACK IN THE LAND OF THE WARMTH AND SUND AND SAND. Too bad I had to be back at work, sure would have enjoyed a day to thaw out - LOL! Today was my first day back at work and my coworkers were mystified that we only had a day (or in our case, evening) and not a weekend reunion. I actually get it now as our time together was so short and there was so much to say and so little time to say it all. Hey guys, if you are all serious about a cruise reunion - I am there - BIG TIME!!!! The husband and I go on a two to three a year and though I am sure there must be a travel agent in our ranks, when the time comes, I would be more than willing to work on the schmematics - I actually did this for a living (remember Donna?) in the early 80's in Toronto. As for the pictures, I have to figure out a way to get all my photos posted, don't have a website, nor do I have a zip drive. So once I get it together, I will be sharing the dozens of shots I took with everyone. Dom - thanks for posting the others in a manner we could all see. Keep the postings coming - it's keeping the momentum going. Have a great evening.

My eyes are still puffy and still glaze over on occasion....Is it fatigue, a lack of sleep, a sense of anti-climax, a bit of each, perhaps? I'm finding my mind drifting these past few days, ever a smile on my face....It was overwhelming, touching base with old friends to share how we've been during the years in between. Of course, the evening was amazing; but I also can't help feeling that it brought answers and closure to the many questions, doubts and insecurities of our youth, our high school days. The security and confidence that comes with experience and maturity allowed us to greet and speak to and even open up to those whom we never would have dreamed nor dared to approach in high school, even if that connection lasted but for a few moments.....Other than I, did anyone else feel the "cool breeze" from the windows that were opening?.....the windows of opportunity, of new friendships forged, of old friendships renewed, of connections made, all because of this reunion?....Is it just me?...or... will our daily lives and memories ever be the same again, for having lived this experience?... I am still in awe....

I agree with Mary Mariani... I couldn't make it and I am in a daze.. go figure. I am hooked on this bulletin. I log on at least 4 times a day or more... just to see what is up and have some fun with it. Good thing I work for myself. I have to snap out of it. I have been working harder since this began. I get up after supper and log on and call it work. My husband finds it amuzing, he says I am on more often than when we dated and were in different cities... good thing he is not jealous huh? This is great. We spend all of our "young" years trying so hard to grow up and get out of highschool.. and then we wake up one day "25 yrs later" and want to not necessarily go back, but try certainly enjoy the memories and see where we are now... how fun. take care. I am ordering myself back to work. Ciao.

Hi Claire, Survey, a reunion every 5 years sounds good. A cruise would be out of this world and I don't mean Bateau Mouche (Old Port). An occasional get together is also a great idea. Don't you think so guys? 3 days later and I am still in a daze. Hey, whoever wants to organize the next reunion, count me in as a committee member. Everyone's e- mail address is great to have, but can we also share our home telephone numbers (individual choice of course). This is great that we can communicate with one another this way. I am having fun with this. I am getting hooked on this. I have to get back to work now, will sign in later. Ciao for now!

Hello Everyone....Saturday Night before reading these postings, I knew I was going to miss a fantastic party. Now, after reading your postings, I want to cry for missing this fantastic party. Especially that my brother Pat was there and I wasn't. My brother called me Monday night after my business trip to tell me all about it. He told me that everyone looked great and that he does not regret going. It made me feel so unhappy. I would of loved to have seen everyone again. Thank you Dominic for the pictures....everyone looks FANTASTIC...WOW...we're not getting older....we're getting better !!! You guys and you gals are HOT HOT HOT. I honestly regret not going but I hope one day in the near future there will be another get together. I am glad to hear that everyone had such a great time. It is also encouraging for the committee to read positive postings knowing that everyone enjoyed themselves and appreciated all of their hard work. I have a request to make....( if possible ) I would like to see more pictures....can you all be so kind and send me some pictures please ??!! Also, I was told that there was a video made of that evening....can anyone tell me how to get one please ?? Your postings are great....keep them coming. Giancarlo and Claire....if you are organizing a get together soon and you need my help...please let me know. Take care and hope to see all one day. Bernice

Saturday night was definately a night to remember! (Claire and I will be chatting about this for a long time). Seeing so many familiar faces, I realized that some of us even went to the same elementary school together at St. Rita's (Mara C, Angelina Lin, Lorena M, Jean-François S.M., Domenic A, Fred C, Tony, (I know that I'm forgetting some people). To Angela Farinaccio, I am so glad that you came in from Ottawa. You really deserve a night out. David Clarke - it was so great to see you and what a hoot about our mutual connection. I'm just sorry Kevin G. couldn't make it. If you speak to him, please give him my regards. Bev L - after all these years we found out that our mothers & your aunt are good friends! What a small world. Donna and Jasmine you both look so beautiful. (To those who did not attend: all the girls looked 'hot' - ok the guys aren't so bad either!). Finally, to the reunion committee: My husband says he had a better time than his own reunion (from Malcolm Campbell H.S.) several years ago, so this says alot! Thank you for a job well done. I vote for a 30th year reunion. P.S. Donna G. - looking forward to your visit in July.

I'm sure the temperature there is much warmer than here. Hoping that her trip back went well. Got in my office first thing I did is jump on the computer to the bulletin board to read the posting "I think I'm getting addicted". Went and look at Dominic's pics. Thank's Dominic. Hi Everyone, My name is Nadia and I work with Micheline. Yes...it has been hectic since Michie started working on this reunion back in September. I got to know all the inner workings of the all the behind the scenes planning!!! Now that's it's over and Michie has filled me in about your great party, I must congratulate her. She did a great job!(as did everyone else on the committee). It was a lot of hard work, but in the end the results will have an everlasting effect! However, now I think she is having withdrawal symptoms, so please continue to post so that she can still feel connected to all of you!! Thanks for listening to an "outsider"!! Nadia

I have great pictures (my very patient husband took) of some of you guys. If you want me to send them to you, e-mail me directly. The evening flew and I see that there are so many people I missed talking to. Even though we all have full lives it's amazing what an impact this reunion had on us. It's 3 days later and every once in a while during the day I'm transported back. Any one who asks about my reunion gets a full accounting and soon regrets asking! It was such a bonus to have Mr. Nash, Mr. Marciniak, Mrs. Zanella and Mr. Ianetta there. I can't call them by their first names - I'm not there yet! I was so nervous/terrified before I entered the hall. Then I saw Lorena's beautiful smile and Mara next to her. It's amazing how everyone was so friendly and kind and fun. It was so much fun comparing the name badges to the actual person. Do you realize we were sixteen maybe seventeen when we graduated? What did we know about anything back then. I too so relate to "That 70's show". It was great to see how wonderful everyone seemed to turn out and for one night it was great to leave all our problems at home and just enjoy each other's company. I hope more people we haven't heard from post their thoughts and not be shy. I'm sure everyone will agree with me that their postings will be most welcome. Hugs, Nadia
